"We ended up in the town of Long Xuyen. Walking around we saw a huge nativity scene at a huge Catholic church. This also included a seminar with young Vietnamese boys, who are trained as priests. There was a man who spoke good English and asked if we would like to have a chat with the boys so that they could practice their English. And there too a photo had to be taken.
Later in the evening we went to a coffee shop for our daily dessert, yoghurt. They almost always have ice cream there, but it is sometimes difficult to explain what we want. The language is very difficult to learn. A boy came to our rescue. And as it turned out, we had to sit down, were offered yogurt but were not allowed to pay. The mother wanted her son (16 years old) to have the opportunity to speak English, so he joined them. Another young man joined. We thought they were friends but he was also a guest at the cafe and also wanted to practice his English ...."
